United Way of SWLA in Conjunction with SWLA VOAD Collecting Items for the “Flood the Love” Campaign to Aid in Hurricane Harvey Relief
LAKE CHARLES, La. – United Way of Southwest Louisiana in conjunction with SWLA VOAD has launched the Flood the Love Campaign, a community donation drive to collect basic needs in preparation for the flooding across South Louisiana.
Items being collected:

Dish Liquid

Trash Bags

Paper Dust Mask

Paper Towels
-
Mosquito Repellant
-
Mops/Brooms
-
Sponges
-
Water (Case ONLY)

Non-perishable food items
ONLY items listed above are needed for the Flood Buckets.
Members of the community may begin dropping off donations as early as Tuesday, August 29. The drive will continue until further notice. There are three sites serving as drop off locations.
1: United Way of SWLA (using Keller Williams as warehouse location). The office is located at 825 Ryan Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601. Hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please call 337-433-1088 for additional drop off hours.
2: Catholic Charities. The building is located at 1225 2nd Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601. Hours are Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
3: DeRidder City Hall. The building is located at 200 South Jefferson Street, Deridder, LA 70634. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Additionally, members of the community can make a monetary donation. The monetary donation will be used to buy cleaning supplies and aid in long term flood damage efforts. You may donate using one of the following ways:
